Translating Intelligence into Measurable Impact.

We partner with "Expert Leaders"—high-performing specialists, scientists, and executives—to navigate the critical gap between technical mastery and organizational impact.

Who We Are

In today’s complex organizations, the skills that get you noticed—deep expertise, rigorous analysis, and individual contribution—are rarely the skills that get you followed.

At Kirk Leadership Group (KLG), we specialize in a specific type of leader: The Expert Leader. You are the PhD, the MD, the Engineer, or the Founder who has mastered your domain but is now facing a new kind of friction. You are being asked to move from "doing the work" to "leading the people," often without a roadmap.

We don't offer generic advice or "soft skills" fluff. We operate at the intersection of Psychology and Business. We use evidence-based frameworks to help you quiet self-doubt, escape the "Expert Trap," and turn your perceived barriers into catalysts for growth.

Meet the Founder :
Dan Kirk, PhD

Dan is not your typical executive coach. With a PhD in Social-Organizational Psychology from NYU and over 20 years of experience advising senior leaders at firms like Heidrick & Struggles, Right Management, and Mercer, Dan bridges the gap between academic rigor and the messy reality of corporate life.

Dan has spent his career studying why brilliant experts often struggle to lead, and how to fix it. He understands the different types of complexity presented by corporate environments—the politics, the uncertainty, the pressure—and provides leaders with the coaching support and behavioral toolkits to navigate them with poise.

Whether coaching a newly promoted Board Chairman of a major health system or helping a technical founder scale their startup, Dan’s approach is the same: Data-driven, empathetic, and ruthlessly practical.

"I help smart people get out of their own way so their best ideas can actually change the world."

Credentials: PhD in Social-Organizational Psychology (NYU); BA in Psychology (University of Pennsylvania).

Certifications: ICF Certified; Certified in Hogan Assessments, Saville Wave, and multiple 360-degree instruments.
